2007 is a wave-compensated, asynchronous esophageal cardiac pacer. The stimulation parameters (amplitude, frequency and duration) can be set by the user in accordance with the methods indicated in chapter 8 and summed up briefly below.
Amplitude: adjustable in continuous mode from between 1 and 40 mA; the value set is visible on the graduated stenciled scale located around the knob itself.
Should it be necessary to use a voltage that is too high for supplying the set current, a flashing LED will indicate that the output voltage must be lowered. In these conditions there is no correspondence between the set current and the one actually supplied (see also 8.5).
Frequency: in order to obtain a greater precision in setting the desired value, the frequency can be selected by means of a multi-turn knob and the value set will be shown on a liquid crystal display.
Duration of the impulse: the following values can be selected at the user’s discretion 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 ms.
The liquid crystal display and the LEDs on the front panel allow for keeping the activity and the instrument operation under control.
2007 is also equipped with special functions for interconnection with other instruments.
