BI/BIE - Disposable needle for sternal-iliac aspiration (vers. BI) or for explant (vers. BIE).

ILIAC ASPIRATION - BI:
- If a longer prominense af the cannula is reguired, withdraw the depth limiter and the feed.Otherwise insert the depth limiter into the handle (aligning the flat side of the feed to the mark on the rectangular base of the handle), until it clicks and regulate the desired prominence of the cannula, rotating or removing the turnable reed (positioned on the cannula);
- Verify the mandrel’s mobility by rotating the bayonet and slightly withdrawing the mandrel;
- Rethread the bayonet lock in its seat;
- When necessary, effect the local anaesthesia;
- Hold the needle and position it the iliac crest;
- Press rotating from right to left until the bone cavity is penetrated to the predeterminated depth;
- Extract the mandrel by rotating and withdrawing the bayonet lock;
- Screw a syringe on to the Luer Lock cone of the handle and aspire the desired quantity of medullar blood;
- Extract the needle;
- To avoid possible contaminations, do not replace the cap on the needle.
STERNAL ASPIRATION - BIE:
- Insert the depth limiter info the handle (aligning the flat side of the feed to the mark on the rectangular base of the handle) until it clicks and regulate the desired prominence of the cannula, rotating or removing the turnable reed (positioned on the cannula);
- Verify the mandrel’s mobility by rotating the bayonet and slightly withdrawing the mandrel;
- Rethread the bayonet lock in its seat;
- When necessary do the local anaesthesia:
=Handle the needle and position it on the stern;
- Press rotating from right to left until penetrated the bone cavity up to predeterminated depth;
- Extract the mandrel rotating and withdrawing the fast stylet lock;
- Screw a syringe on the handle Luer Lock cone and aspire the desired quantity of medullar blood;
- Extract the needle;
- To avoid possible contaminations, do not replace the cap on the needle.
WARNINGS and PRECAUTIONS:
- These instuctions are for use for information purposes only and variations are to be made at the discretion of a specialised medical practitioners;
- The needle is supplied joined to the handle with the reed but not inserted;
- Do not use for applications other than the medullar aspiration;
- For sternal aspiration do not withdraw the depth limiter;
- Used needles have a high contamination risk;
- Avoid accidental contact;
- Verity expiry date before use;
- Needles are for single use only and are not re - sterilisable;
- To be used only by specialised medical practioners. |
