Counter Stain 250ml
Counterstains:
Malachite Green 250ml
or
Methylene Blue 250ml
Results:
Koch' s bacillus, Hansen' s Bacillus and other acid .....red
resistant elements.................................................................blue
 Principle Acid resistance is a particular dyeing features of mycobacteria. Once they have been stained with carbol fuchsin they have the capacity to remain red even if they undergo strong decolorizations. Acid resistance is usually ascribed to the special composition of mycobacteria's cell walls, which are very rich in lipides. |
